I think I originated this as a child ... my original thought ... then others stole it:

 

The genie gives you three wishes.

 

I only needed one.

 

Unlimited wishes ....

 

Then some smartie pants heard about it and said that was against the genie code.

 

How to get around it?

 

The psalmist did ... above ... He asked for a gift that contained all gifts.
