There is no easy road to success - spiritually, politically, financially, mechanically, scientifically, or socially. There is none in relationships, business, the arts, nor the quest for justice.
Everything that works takes work.
Results are proportionate to effort.
Effort is proportionate to commitment.
Commitment is proportionate to desire.
Desire is proportionate to the pain that we feel from the lack of what drives us forward.
Everything comes in increments. If it takes 100+ increments of effort to get one result, then plan on 101, 102, 110, or 120. Those statistics vary, but the principle does not. 99 will not do it.
Do not lose heart. Try one more.
If you want one result, invest the number of increments of effort necessary and multiply them. Soon, you will get better at predicting the ratio of effort to results.
Learn to work smarter and with greater grace and you may reduce that and increase results, but the principle will not change.
Did I mention that the principle will not change?
Results require effort.
Do what must be done daily.
Do what you do well.
Then, do it all again.
